VISIT OF MR. DAVE ANGUISH TO DAIMSR

REPORT OF VISIT OF MR. DAVE ANGUISH TO DAIMSR: 11.12.2018 .

(CAREER GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING)

DAIMSR has signed an MOU with “Future Counselors” in order to assist both UG and PG students for higher education in universities abroad. As a part of this initiative, Mr. Dave Anguish, a student advisor from University of Maryland – Baltimore County (UMBC) USA, visited the campus of DAIMSR for interacting with students and the members of faculty. He was accompanied by his Indian representatives also.

Mr. Dave informed the students about various programmes offered by UMBC at UG, PG and Doctorate levels. He focused on the programmes which were relevant for Management students. He told about the programmes which were a blend of technical and management domains (Engineering Management, Business Analytics, etc.) and which were highly in demand all over the world. He also informed that UMBC was a preferred destination for a large number Indian students aspiring for higher education in the US. He answered students’ queries on the topic of fees, scholarships, accommodation assistance and work while study opportunities at UMBC.

Later, Mr. Dave Anguish interacted with the senior faculty members of DAIMSR. Opportunities for collaborations between DAIMSR and UMBC in areas of joint research, student / faculty exchange programmes, etc were explored during the discussion.

Dr. Nirzar Kulkarni, Associate Director – DAIMSR, welcomed Mr. Anguish. Prof. Hemant Deshmukh and Dr. Mujahid Siddiqui coordinated the visit.
